Spray cork is a thin coating rather than a replacement for missing render or a complete levelling system. Existing brick courses, texture and unevenness can remain apparent. If a flatter exterior is the aim, compare the preparation or an alternative render build-up before choosing a coating.
Loose render, unstable paint, contamination and recurring cracks need assessment first. A fresh coating cannot restore a failed bond, stabilise movement or fix an unresolved leak.
The exact primer, repair materials, application and care instructions depend on the selected product and background. No manufacturer, accreditation, universal specification or guaranteed performance is assumed for every project.

Tell us whether the walls are rendered, painted, brick or pebbledashed, and which parts you want changed. Suitability depends on the condition and compatibility of those surfaces, not just their description.
Agree protection around openings, roofs, paths and neighbouring areas. The quotation should distinguish repair and preparation from the coating itself, including how any hidden defects or changes of scope will be discussed.
Consider colour and texture samples beside the retained materials. Existing weathering and surface shape affect appearance; a screen image alone cannot establish the final result on your property.

A thin cork coating is not equivalent to a complete external wall insulation system. Recently Rendered does not install complete board-based EWI systems. No insulation value, heating-bill saving or energy-rating improvement is promised for the coating here.

A coating quotation should explain the existing surface, repairs, preparation, access and proposed finish. Those allowances matter more than a headline coating rate.

Homeowner questions
Can spray cork go over any painted wall?
No. The paint, background and proposed system need assessment for stability and compatibility. Unsuitable or loose coatings require appropriate treatment first.
Will it make pebbledash or brickwork smooth?
Not automatically. A thin coating can follow the existing profile. Discuss the desired appearance and any additional preparation or alternative rendering required.
Does it repair cracks or cure damp?
It is not a general repair for movement or moisture problems. The cause and condition need assessment, with necessary remedial work considered before a finish.
Is it full external wall insulation?
No. A spray cork coating is different from a complete insulation-board system. Recently Rendered does not install full board-based EWI systems.
