Harrogate Pebble Dash Removal and Silicone Render Transformation
This property in Harrogate had an old pebble dash finish that had become tired, weathered and was beginning to fail in several areas.
Rather than covering the existing surface, the old pebble dash render was completely removed back to the original brickwork. This allowed us to inspect the underlying walls, complete the necessary preparation and install a new render system from a solid background.
Once the brickwork had been cleaned and prepared, we applied a two-coat mesh-reinforced basecoat system. Fibreglass reinforcement mesh was embedded throughout the basecoat to strengthen the new render system and help reduce the risk of future cracking.
After the basecoat had fully cured, the walls were primed before a silicone topcoat was applied to create a clean, modern and consistent exterior finish.
The completed system provides a breathable, flexible and highly water-repellent surface while completely transforming the appearance of the property.
